Freelance Graphic Design - March 2008 to present

Having obtained a business license, I set out to found a freelance design and photography firm. This endeavor has proved successful; I have designed a variety of identity systems, websites, and hand-bound memory books for individuals, companies, and government entities, including the city of Winters. Running this firm has proved invaluable, as I have gained graphic design and client relation experience, as well as having learned how much hard work is needed to make a small business succeed.

Graphics Specialist - November 2010 to December 2011

I was recruited by my previous employers at Colliers to join their new team at Grubb & Ellis to provide graphics and marketing for the Walnut Creek and Oakland offices. Here I worked with over 30 brokers to build and maintain their websites and marketing collateral, including large presentations and proposals. I also taught monthly classes to the office admin to familiarize them in the adobe creative suite programs to help our office run as smoothly as possible.

Graphic Design - November 2009 to November 2010

As a graphic designer at a small web design firm, I work daily with HTML, CSS, and Flash and have developed a working knowledge of the integration of PHP and jQuery allowing for quick and dynamic maintenance. I am also well versed in WordPress for blogs and as a content management system for clients who wish to manage their own websites. While managing 17 to 20 clients at a time, I’ve maintained healthy client relationships through communication, organization, and the ability to troubleshoot and foresee potential issues, all while adhering to a strict timeline and a high level of quality in both design and web standards.

Graphic Design, Marketing - October 2007 to November 2009

After being hired as an intern to revamp marketing flyers, I was put in charge of all marketing-related projects for a group of commercial office brokers. Since that time, I have built websites for 15 properties, allowing web users to access floor plans and take virtual tours of office spaces on the market.

"Animatrice"/Promoter - Summer 2005

I worked at the Italian resort, Perdepera, organizing activities and events during which I interacted with guests and accommodated their needs, while learning the language and cultural nuances in order to better serve the company and its patrons.

Bachelor of Arts, University of San Francisco, December 2007
Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Graphic Design

I have been trained to compose catalogue, magazine and book layouts using Adobe InDesign, and have created memory books for vacations, anniversaries and weddings, among other events.

Utilizing sketchbook brainstorming and Adobe Illustrator, I studied design for logos, letterheads, envelopes, business cards and packaging as they are used in complete identity systems. During my work with Da Ré Inspired and Noble Image, I implemented these skills in the design of identity systems for dozens of Northern California businesses.

I have substantial experience in the design and production of static and dynamic websites. Using WordPress, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash, I am trained in HTML, CSS and ActionScript with a working knowledge of PHP and jQuery integration.
